Yes, I am thinking ahead!!! Not rushing the year or anything......assuming I make it through all of the upcoming changes! As I transition back in to school (this week is the get ready week for me-going in for a few hours this week, getting things as prepared as possible) I wanted to reflect back on this summer and give myself some ideas for next summer. Just in case I forget. I figure this was the best place to store my ideas. Let me know if you have anything to add!!!
1. Vacation immediately after school gets out. It works better for you and will get you right into vacation mode.
2 .Get to the beach a lot. Grab some friends. Even if it is a weekend and crowded-get there early or late but get there.
3. More boardwalks. I love it. Need more.
4. Get to the gym or exercise daily. You know it makes you feel better and gives you energy for the day. I know this is the lazy time of year and it's hot but do it for you.
5. Look for poison ivy and sumac early in the season so you don't end up looking like a red blistery moron all summer-which also prevented exercise due to wanting to cry when sweat hit the red blotchy spots that used to be your arms and legs.
6. Walk the dogs more.
7. DO NOT offer to foster a puppy. It kills your day.
8. More breakfast on the deck or early morning coffee. You didn't do that in 2013 and it messed with your head.
9. Get up and start the day-even if it is early. You complained about not having enough time-so start early even if that means an afternoon nap during the hottest part of the day.
10. See more people. Meet them at work for lunch. Go swimming with Abby.
11. It's produce season for goodness sake....make the most of it. Imagine how great you'll feel with produce based meals!
12 Don't neglect your crafty side. Work on something every day. It would be a great way to start or finish your day.
13.Work on the neglected book pile and read for your job. You love to read. Don't forget that.
14. Stock up on sunscreen.
15. Tackle the projects around the house. Pick a day and get some done. It will make the school year so much easier for you. Spend some more time with the plants.....remember those early mornings????
16. Don't wait until the last week to start prepping for school. A little each week is better.
17. Grill more and have people over more.
18. Track for Weight Watchers. You let that go and the scale showed it.
19. Do a load of laundry every day. Clean a little every day. It makes a difference and does not take much time.
20. Buy something special for yourself to wear or use when you go back to school. Also preorder some books......it will be a nice surprise for you in the fall when they arrive!
That's it for now. Hopefully I will remember this list come June 2014!!!
